Viking Silver Penny. 941-44AD. “Triquetra & Tattered Flag”.
This is a traditionally made reproduction coin struck using traditionally hand sunk dies - sunk using tools like the original moneyers who made the original. A Triquetra on the obverse, or “trinity” it brings a celtic feel while the reverse shows a standard danish flag in tatters that brings the Viking feel to this sharp detailed coin.
About 19mm. - same size as the originals.
Struck in 1-2 grams of 999 fine silver or our thicker SAM strike in 3-4 grams.
